Artfully shot on 16mm by Jimi Tenor in 1995, Sähkö The Movie (a fan-given title in the absence of any official one) is an abstract portrait of the influential Finnish electronic label in its prime. Featuring Mika Vainio, Tommi Grönlund, Mono Junk, and other core artists, the film documents the handmade machinery, record pressing, and austere experimental ethos that defined Sähkö’s early output.
