Hutchinson and Clive Smith, the soundtrack to Liquid Sky merges early digital synthesis, avant-garde composition, and minimalist sci-fi sound design into a singular electronic score. Built largely on the Fairlight CMI, the music’s raw programmed textures and percussive imperfections mirror the film’s cold, stylised vision of downtown New York and alien encounter.
